Sign up and send your first quote

Create your account, then build a door quote and email it to your customer.

  1. Press "Start free trial", fill in "Create your account" and press "Create Free Account".
  2. Click the link in the email we send you. Fill in the welcome steps, or skip them.
  3. Press "Create your first quote". If you skipped to Today, press "Build a quote" instead. Then choose who the quote is for.
  4. Pick "New Installation". Under "Whose door are you quoting?", pick your supplier. Then pick a size under "Pick a starting point".
  5. Set up the door. Press "Next" through Opener, Hardware and Fees, then press "Generate Quote".
  6. Fill in the Customer box on the quote if it is blank. Then press "Email", check the message and press "Send Email & Save Quote".
Tips
  • New accounts get 30 days of Pro. After that, the free plan includes 10 new quotes a month.
  • Next time, press "+ Quote" at the top of the screen. On Today, press "Build a quote" or "+ New Quote" instead. On a phone, the top button shows as "+".
  • The Hardware step needs the "Available Space Headroom" in inches before you can go on.
  • The quote needs the customer's name and email before it can be emailed. Type them in the Customer box on the quote.

Quotes

Show the door on the customer's house

Put the door you are quoting onto a photo of the customer's own house.

  1. On the Door step of a quote, press "Add a picture of the house".
  2. Take a photo of the garage front, or pick one you already have.
  3. Drag the door into the opening, then drag each corner to match the angle.
  4. Use the "Door size" slider to fit it, and "Expand" to work full screen.
  5. Press "+ Add door" to place a second door on the same photo.
  6. Carry on with the quote. The quote shows the house before and after. Its PDF shows the new door on the house.
Tips
  • Included with Starter and Pro.
  • "Find the door" tries to place the door for you. It works best on a plain, straight-on photo.
  • Pro adds "Find with AI", which sends the photo to Google to find the opening and places the door for you.

Add openers and hardware to a quote

Pick the opener, the track and springs, and the extras for the door you are quoting.

  1. Build the door, then press "Next" to reach "Choose Your Door Opener".
  2. Pick an opener. If you buy from more than one opener supplier, choose one under "Opener brand" first.
  3. No opener on this job? Pick one under "Manual door hardware".
  4. Press "Next" and enter the inches you measured under "Available Space Headroom".
  5. Choose the track and springs under "Spring & Track Configuration", then rollers, seals and struts.
  6. Press "Next" to add fees, then press "Generate Quote".
Tips
  • The quote cannot go forward until the headroom is entered and fits the track you picked.
  • High lift, vertical lift and inclined track need a side-mount opener. If yours will not fit, the Hardware step says so.
  • No openers showing? Add them in "Products & Pricing".

Quote a service call

Price a repair or a tune-up from your own parts, without building a door.

  1. Press "+ Quote" at the top of the screen ("+" on a phone). On Today, press "Build a quote" or "+ New Quote". Then choose who the quote is for.
  2. Under "What type of job is this?", press "Service Call".
  3. Tap one of the "Common jobs" to start, or type a "Job title". The starter jobs carry placeholder prices, so check each line.
  4. Search "Add a part" for a spring, roller, seal or opener, or press "+ Add line item".
  5. Press "Build Service Quote", then "Save" or "Email" on the quote page.
Tips
  • Under "Which door", pick the door this call is about, or press "+ Add the door this call is about". Sections and seals are then sized to that door.
  • Quote the same job often? Give it a title and press "Save as a quick pick". Admins see this button.
  • If a part has no price yet, the screen tells you. Type your price on the line.

Track your quotes and follow up

See which customers opened their quote, which quotes are due a follow-up, and chase them on time.

  1. Open "Quotes". "Follow-ups" lists the quotes still waiting on an answer, with how long each has waited.
  2. Each quote shows whether the customer opened it, or "Not opened yet".
  3. The three dots show which follow-ups have gone out. A follow-up is due 3, 5 and 7 days after you last wrote.
  4. Press the quote's "Follow-up" button, then "Send follow-up". Check the email and send it. It includes their quote link.
  5. Called or texted them instead? Pick "Log a call" or "Log a text" so the team sees it.
  6. If they say yes by phone, pick "Accepted — wins the lead".
Tips
  • Today's work queue lists quotes nobody opened after two days. Press "Send reminder" there.
  • Opened means the customer opened their quote link. Your own views do not count.
  • "Log a call" and "Log a text" only record it. Nothing is sent.
  • Quotes is included with Starter and Pro.

Customers and leads

How a website lead reaches you

Share your quote request link, and each request arrives in Leads with an alert.

  1. Open "Company Settings" (under "More" on a phone). Scroll down to "Your quote request link".
  2. Press "Copy Link".
  3. Paste it on your website, Google Business Profile, Facebook page or email signature.
  4. Press "Preview" to see the "Request a quote" page your customers fill in.
  5. Open "Leads" when the bell lights up. The request is there as a new lead.
Tips
  • An alert email also goes to the "Notification Email" in Company Settings, or to your admins if that is blank.
  • A second request from the same phone or email within 24 hours joins the first lead.
  • Company Settings is for account admins.
  • Leads is included with Starter and Pro.

Find a customer's jobs, quotes and history

Open one customer to see their addresses, jobs, quotes, invoices and notes in one place.

  1. Open "Customers" in the sidebar. On a phone it is in the bar along the bottom.
  2. Search by name, address, phone or a reference number.
  3. Open the customer to see their jobs, what they have paid and what they still owe.
  4. Scroll down for "Addresses", "Quotes & Invoices" and "History". Quotes & Invoices shows once they have one.
  5. Press "Book Service" to book a visit for them from here.
  6. Press "New Job" to quote them a new door. The quote opens with their details filled in.
Tips
  • On a won job, press "Customer history" in the lead to reach the same page.
  • Customers is included with Starter and Pro.

Move your customers over from a spreadsheet

Bring your customer list in from a spreadsheet, so you do not have to type it again.

  1. Save your spreadsheet as a CSV file, with the column names in the first row.
  2. Open "Leads" and press "Import CSV".
  3. Press "Choose CSV File" and pick your file.
  4. On "Map Columns", check each match. "Name" has to be matched.
  5. Press "Import". The button shows how many rows are in your file.
  6. Press "Done" when you see "Import complete".
Tips
  • These columns match on their own: Name, Email, Phone, Address, City, Province, Postal Code, Notes and Company.
  • Common variations match too, such as Client Name, Mobile, Cell, Street, State and Zip.
  • It brings in customers and their contact details, not past jobs, quotes or invoices.
  • Each row becomes a customer and a new lead in Leads. Rows with no name are skipped.
  • A row whose email matches a customer you already have joins that customer. Take repeat emails out of the sheet first.
  • Working in Excel or Google Sheets? Save or download the sheet as CSV first.
  • Leads and Customers are included with Starter and Pro.

Schedule and crew

See your day and your week

Use Schedule to see the day's stops, the week ahead and who is where.

  1. Open "Schedule". On a computer, "Today" at the top of Schedule shows the day's stops and the route map.
  2. Tap a day in the week along the top to see that day.
  3. On a computer, press "Grid" to see each tech's day by the hour.
  4. On a computer, press "Month" for the month at a glance, and click a day to open it.
  5. On a phone, switch between "Timeline" and "Map".

Book a measure visit

Put a measure visit on the calendar from the lead, and send the customer a confirmation.

  1. Open the lead in "Leads".
  2. Go to the "Appointments" tab and press "+ Book Appointment".
  3. Under "Type", pick "Estimate". That is the measure visit.
  4. Set the "Date" and "Time", and choose who it is "Assigned to".
  5. Tick "Send confirmation email" to email the customer, then press "Book Estimate".
Tips
  • The visit shows on "Schedule" as soon as it is booked.
  • The customer needs an email on file for the confirmation to send.
  • Use "Note for the sales consultant" to say what to look at on site.
  • Included with Starter and Pro.

Run a site visit from your phone

Take a booked visit from the drive to the quote: on the way, on site, photos, notes, then the quote.

  1. Open "Schedule" and tap the visit.
  2. Press "Get Directions" to drive there. Use "Slide: On the way" when you leave and "Slide: On site" when you arrive.
  3. Press "Photos", then "Take Photo / Upload", and photograph the opening.
  4. Use "Slide: Site visit done". Write the sizes, the obstacles and what the customer wants, then press "Save and set Site visit done".
  5. Press "Quote". The quote opens with their details filled in.
  6. Once the quote is sent, use "Slide: Quote provided".
Tips
  • The visit's "Checklist" shows what is left: site photos, the door size and the quote.
  • Status changes do not text the customer.
  • Included with Starter and Pro.

Take notes and photos on a visit

Log notes and photos on the visit itself, so the office and the crew see the same record.

  1. Open "Schedule" and tap the visit. Techs tap the job under "Jobs" in their app.
  2. Slide the status bar to "On the way" when you leave, and to "On site" when you arrive.
  3. Press "Clock In" when you start work.
  4. Press "Photos", then "Take Photo / Upload".
  5. Under "Notes", pick "Sales note" or "Tech note", type it and press "Log".
Tips
  • Photos need a signal to upload.
  • Notes also show under "Activity" and on the lead.
  • Included with Starter and Pro.

Pin a note your techs will see

Pin the one thing a tech has to know, like a gate code, to the top of the job.

  1. Open the job from "Leads" or "Orders".
  2. Scroll to the activity log, pick "Note", type it and press "Log Note".
  3. Press "Pin" on the note in the timeline.
  4. It moves to the top of "Overview", marked with a flag.
  5. Your techs see it at the top of the job on their phone, and it shows on the visit in "Schedule".
  6. Press "Unpin" when it no longer applies.
Tips
  • Keep a pinned note short: a gate code, a dog on site, who makes the decision.
  • Something the installer must read on site? Put it in "Notes for Techs" on the job in "Jobs" too.
  • Included with Starter and Pro.

Hand a job to your installer

Check what the crew is getting, turn the order into a job, and book the install.

  1. Open the job from "Orders" once the door is ordered with a "Delivery ETA", or after you press "Mark Received".
  2. Open "Suggested next step" and read the "Installation" card. That is what the crew gets.
  3. Fix any line marked "!". Tap "No site instructions" to add access and gate notes under "Door Notes", or press "Mark OK".
  4. Use "Slide to hand to the crew". The job moves to "Jobs".
  5. Press "Book installation", set the "Date" and "Time", pick the "Technician" and press "Book Install".
  6. Change what the installer reads any time in "Notes for Techs" and press "Save notes".
Tips
  • The slide stays locked until each check is done, and it shows how many are left.
  • Jobs with no install booked wait in the "Unscheduled" tray on the Schedule "Grid". Drag one onto a tech's row to book it there.
  • Included with Starter and Pro.

Orders and paperwork

Make a shop drawing

Make the framing and clearance drawing for a door, with no prices on it.

  1. Build the door quote and enter the "Available Space Headroom" on the Hardware step.
  2. On the "Quote" step, press "More".
  3. Press "Preview shop drawing" to check it, or "Download shop drawing" for the PDF.
  4. Press "Send shop drawing" to email it to the customer, a contractor or an architect.
  5. To send it with the quote, tick "Also attach the shop drawing" in the "Email" dialog.
Tips
  • A shop drawing shows framing and clearances. It never shows prices.
  • The hinge, spring and clearance figures use "Shop drawing defaults" in Company Settings. Correct them there.
  • Included with Starter and Pro.

Hand a won deal to the order desk

When a customer says yes, tell the office what they need to know, then hand the deal over to be ordered.

  1. Open "Leads", press "Won" and open the deal.
  2. Open "Suggested next step". It lists what the office needs before ordering.
  3. Tap "Order desk not told the priority or timing". Pick how urgent it is and when the customer expects it, add any notes, and press "Send to Order Desk".
  4. Press "Confirm" on the "What they selected" line, and "Mark OK" on any line that is fine as it is.
  5. Use "Slide to hand to the office". The office sees it under "Orders" as a new hand-off.
Tips
  • Handing over does not order the door. The office does that from "Orders", with "Slide to place order".
  • On a phone, "Leads" is in the bar along the bottom and "Orders" is under "More".
  • Leads and Orders are included with Starter and Pro.

Order the door from your supplier and track it

Send the order sheet to your supplier, see when they confirm it, and mark the door received.

  1. Open the won job from "Orders".
  2. Open "Suggested next step". Press "Confirm" on the "What they selected" line, and fix or press "Mark OK" on any line marked "!". Then use "Slide to place order".
  3. Pick the "Supplier", then fill in "PO / Confirmation #" and "Delivery ETA". Fill in the ETA now: handing the job to your crew waits for it.
  4. Tick "Email the order sheet to" your supplier and use "Slide to send & mark ordered".
  5. Look for "Manufacturer confirmed" on the "Manufacturer Order" card once your supplier confirms from the email.
  6. Press "Mark Received" when the door arrives.
Tips
  • Press "Preview order sheet" to see the PDF your supplier gets. It has no prices on it.
  • To email the order sheet, open "Products & Pricing", then "Suppliers", and pick the supplier. Open "Contact & warranties", fill in "Order email" and press "Save".
  • Ordered by phone? Press "Copy confirm link" and text it to your supplier.
  • Orders is included with Starter and Pro.

Money

Invoice and record a payment

Take a deposit or a payment, send the receipt and invoice, and give the customer their portal.

  1. Open the won deal on "Orders" and press "Collect Deposit".
  2. Press "Record a payment" and fill in "Amount", "Method" and "Date".
  3. Press "Record & Continue".
  4. Check the email and press "Send Receipt & Invoice".
  5. Press "Send Portal & Finish" to send the customer their portal link.
  6. For later payments, open the invoice on "Invoices" and press "Record payment".
Tips
  • On a service call the button reads "Collect Payment".
  • A service call with no quote needs an invoice first. Press "+ New Invoice" on "Invoices", then "Collect Payment" works.
  • No email on the customer? The button reads "Record Payment" and nothing is sent. Add their email, then send the receipt from "Invoices".
  • To take cards online, press "Connect with Stripe" under "Online payments" in Company Settings. The customer then pays by card from their portal.
  • Took a card on your own terminal? Record it with "Credit Card" or "Debit Card" as the method.
  • Included with Starter and Pro.

Set-up

Import your supplier's price sheet

Read your supplier's price sheet into your door costs, check it, then set your sell prices.

  1. Open "Products & Pricing" and press "Import" or "Import a price sheet".
  2. Pick the supplier under "Which supplier is it from?". For a new one, press "It is a different supplier" and type its "Supplier name".
  3. Press "Choose a price sheet" and drop in a PDF, a photo or a CSV. You can also paste the rows and press "Read pasted text".
  4. Check the table against your sheet, and pick a door line for any column it could not name. Nothing is saved yet.
  5. Press the "Apply" button to save the costs.
  6. Set your "Margin" and press "Set sell prices" so the doors are ready to quote.
Tips
  • Use your dealer cost, the price you pay, not retail or list.
  • Lay the doors out as a grid: widths down the side, heights across the top, one price in each box.
  • Widths of 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16 and 18 ft are read. Other widths are skipped and listed in the review.
  • Heights sort into three groups: up to 7 ft, up to 8 ft, and over 8 ft.
  • Put the door line's name above its prices. In the review, you match each name to your line once.
  • Put openers and parts below the doors, one per row: the name, then your cost.
  • You can drop in your supplier's own PDF, or a clear phone photo of one page. Keep files under 10 MB. A long sheet reads best one page at a time.
  • Working in Excel? Save the sheet as CSV first, or copy the rows and paste them in.

Set your markup and quote terms

Set your tax, deposit, quote validity and terms once, and new quotes use them.

  1. Open "Company Settings" and scroll to "Quotes & pricing rules".
  2. Open "Tax & pricing rules" and pick your province under "Tax preset".
  3. Set "Default margin", "Quote valid for" and "Deposit to start", then press "Save Changes".
  4. Open "Volume discount" if you offer one.
  5. Open "Quote Terms & Conditions", edit the wording and press "Save Changes".
  6. Open "Financing" if you offer it.
  7. To change the margin on one quote, open the quote's "Fees" step and drag "Adjust door margin".
Tips
  • "Default margin" sets the price of new catalog items from their cost.
  • Each section has its own "Save Changes" button.
  • "Adjust door margin" is included with Starter and Pro, and needs a supplier with costs on the quote.
  • Warranties are set under Suppliers in "Products & Pricing", not in the terms.

Add a tech to your team

Invite a technician by email, so they can see their jobs on their phone.

  1. Open "Team" in the sidebar. On a phone, it is under "More".
  2. Press "+ Add Team Member".
  3. Enter their "Full Name" and "Email Address", and set "Role" to "Technician".
  4. Press "Create User". They get an email with a link to set their password.
  5. Pick them under "Technician" when you book a visit. On a computer, you can also drag a visit onto their row on the Schedule "Grid".
Tips
  • The Team screen is for account admins.
  • The Team screen is included with Starter and Pro. Starter has 3 seats and Pro has 6, counting you.
  • A technician gets the crew app: their jobs, photos and notes. They do not see your costs or settings.

  2. Scroll to "Data & Privacy".
  3. Press "Export Data".
  4. Open the zip file it saves. It holds a spreadsheet file for each table, one JSON file and a README.
Tips
  • Each spreadsheet is a CSV file, which opens in a spreadsheet app.
  • Company Settings is for account admins.
  • Export works on the free plan too.
