Cookie Policy

GarageDoorNet keeps things simple: we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies anywhere on the site or in the app.

What we store in your browser

• Authentication (essential) — a secure session token that keeps you signed in. Without it the app cannot work.
• Session state (essential) — in-progress work such as a quote you're building, stored in your browser's session storage so a page refresh doesn't lose it. It clears when the tab closes.
• Error monitoring — our error-reporting tool (Sentry) may attach technical identifiers to crash reports so we can fix bugs. It is not used for advertising.
• How you found us: on the public site we keep one small record in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) of the campaign tags, referring site, any ad click identifier in the link, and landing page of your first visit, so a signup can be credited to the right source. It is not sent to any third party and it never identifies you.

Third-party cookies

If you pay by card, our payment processor (Stripe) sets cookies on its own checkout surfaces for fraud prevention. We do not run third-party analytics or ad networks. Our own page-view counts are recorded on our servers without a cookie and without your IP address (see the Privacy Policy).

Your choices

Because everything we store is essential to signing in and using the app, there is no cookie banner to click through. You can clear stored data anytime via your browser settings; you'll simply be signed out.
